Publix Pharmacy at the Market at Newberry Farms

This store has potential, but the pharmacy’s communication needs real improvement. My provider clearly writes for a specific brand-name medication, yet they repeatedly fill a different brand without calling me or considering what the doctor ordered. Then I’m told they “can’t get” the correct one even though Olivia is always able to order it with no issues. Olivia is truly the bright spot here. She’s helpful, communicates well, and makes sure things are done right. The inconsistency when she isn’t there leads to unnecessary delays and frustration. I hope management can address these communication gaps so the pharmacy can run as smoothly as it does when Olivia is helping.

Picked up some prescription ointment for my infant today. Got home and the tube was split open. Called to see if they would replace it and they not only refused but told us that it was okay to use. The manager wasn’t in, so we spoke to the person who was standing in for him. Just a warning to check your prescriptions before you leave because they will not take accountability for any damage once you leave the store. **Editing to add - I went back in the afternoon because my son's pediatrician agreed that the ointment was not safe to use and sent in a new prescription. They did not fill it until I arrived and I had to pay out of pocket - which is fine because I'd rather them not charge my insurance again. I had my scrips tranferred to here as Hitchcocks folded their tent. the transformation has been smooth and the crew here very friendly and professional. Kudos to Olivia.

Geez, I've never been treated like this before. Over a non narcotic at that. Don't know what this pharmacist has a bone to pick with but my 5 star rating has completely been reversed. Go to Alachua Publix or Jonesville.....not here
