Pottsville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center

Coming from my own personal experience of having a family member being taking care of at this place. I can personally say that the nurses and staff did a fantastic job in making sure they got the best care possible and they were always willing to answer any questions that I may have had. I would recommend anyone looking for great personal care to look into going to Pottsville rehabilitation and nursing center.

When my father needed a rehab after his stay at the hospital I was given the choice between this place and one in Palmyra. After reading reviews on both places I went with Pottsville and I'm so sorry I did. Since being there my father has had to crawl to use the bathroom. Has urinated on himself and had to stay in it. The food and portions I wouldn't even feed to my dog. And when I call all anyone does there is lie to me. I'm currently working on his transfer now in the hopes of getting him anywhere else but there. I've attached a picture of what my father was given last night for dinner. If you love the person you're looking at this facility for please please please look somewhere else. This is no place for anyone!

Being brought here after a hospital stay to rehab my foot. With constant IV antibiotics and daily repacking and rewrapping of my foot. The nursing staff are top notch. Very attentive and do anything possible to help. Engracia has been over seeing my recovery. Making sure everything is on point and keeping me up to date with how my recovery is coming along. This is my first stay in a nursing facility and every nurse, aide, housekeeper, kitchen staff, activities staff have been nothing but top notch professional.

FELLOW NURSES and FAMILIES The only reason they have 5 stars is because they pick the favorite residents who are always understanding and grateful and ask them to review. I am appalled at how this place is run. Let’s start with Covid they do not wear masks appropriately and Covid has hit them with 35 positive cases along with 11 staff out. Next aids are nasty to patients and do not properly assist with care and cleanses during patient care. They try to force feed non verbal residents or ignore them during feeding and say they didn’t want it. Call bells are not answered for three hours. I understand trying not to toilet during meal times but being told you have to wait is unacceptable. Next FALSE documentation on nursing and the inability to properly assess a cardiac patient. This place is AMAZING 10+ stars !! My uncle was transported here for rehab from Hershey hospital unfortunately he is in heart failure. Today was his graduation day from there and got to come home . I must say my uncle looks the best he has been . He was rehabbed before at another place and he it did not look good at all upon release there it was not a good experience for him. Today I was amazed and thrilled with how he looked when I picked him up . The nurses and staff did a wonderful job with my uncle and we THANK YOU so much !! They all yelled bye to him as he left and it was sweet . If your looking for a good rehab facility or long term care facility this is the place !!
