Geisinger St. Luke's Care Now - Pottsville

I went to st. Luke’s this last Saturday and had an amazing experience. A little background about myself and my son… I am a mom in recovery and we currently live in a halfway house in Ashland.. any place I have taken him to for medical care has always been treated me as nothing more than an addict but at st Luke’s that couldn’t of been father from the truth. My son came in with an infection in his toe and we had an amazing team that saw me for me and zaydin for him. Matt mills was our provider and he was so thorough and listened to my concerns and went above and beyond. Amanda Kriesher was our nurse and aside from being hilarious she was so kind and caring and made sure we were taken care of. Kirsten Sabol was our tech and she made us feel welcomed and cared for. Very clean facility. Staff and doctors were very friendly! Only problem was that we left the office at 520 to go get the RX and the doctor didn't call them in- so ended up waiting at the pharmacy for almost 2 hours to wait to get the scripts. Otherwise lab results were back within 5 minutes. Doctor was very friendly and patient with my young child. Definitely visiting again for any future urgent care needs

I received great care when I went there when my Back went out. There wasn’t a long line, which is strange for an urgent care facility on a weekend! I was seen right away and received compassionate and effective care. I would highly recommend this place for your urgent care needs.

One stitch came out next day, total of 3 at first week. Don’t go here if you have an injury that requires missing work. They won’t fill out any paperwork unless it is workers comp. I may lose my job over this l, so thanks for nothing. The staff was very nice, my nurse was very helpful and you could tell she genuinely cared.

I thought i liked this location until today. Unfortunately I could not be with my baby as my husband brought her in for being sick. They were going to use a medicine syringe that was dropped on the floor after cleaning it to be put in her mouth. We all know how unsanitary an urgent care/ hospital floors can be. This is absolutely disgusting. The PA proceeded to administer the med in a new and larger syringe and it was given into her tiny mouth while she struggled to breathe while crying. She was having difficulty swallowing already and this medication was forced into her mouth all at one time.This could have been done in a way that was not so hard on her and left me very upset that she had to endure this today. This situation should not have turned into such a traumatizing visit. She was b
