Pine Ridge Primary & Urgent Care

Called and made appointment. Showed up and they never scheduled it. Then I sat for 30-45 minutes while they tried to find out what my insurance co pay/ deductible was before they would see me. They couldn’t verify anything and started asking how much I usually pay. At that point I realized it’s about money not giving optimal heath care. So I walked out.

I was looking to be seen by a physician at around 1510 so I called the facility. It has been years since I have been seen at this location, but that is besides the point I simply was explaining the details of my situation and if you work, any military And law-enforcement job …..guess what they require…yes a work notes saying why you were out of…yes work Shane, Sean, Shannon one of those names, seemed as if she was upset when I said do they provide work notes. I’m not upset I’m just confused at how that could’ve edged someone. I love people I just can’t stand todays lack of customer service skills

I love this doctors office. Everyone there is friendly, efficient and compassionate. The doctors are very knowledgeable. They all have incredible bedside manners but in addition to that they know how to explain what's going on in a way that you can understand without making you feel stupid. It's awesome that they also do primary care. I can go there even in an emergency and all my records are there and they know what's going on at all times. Love it.

Sad to say that despite a pleasant experience with the nurse and PA the front office staff ruined the whole experience for me. I called prior to my arrival asking if they accepted my insurance (which is Aetna) and was told yes. So instead of driving a little further to the normal urgent care we visit I decided to stop here with my sick daughter and infant in tow. I was not greeted in a friendly manner at all and was simply asked for my ID and insurance and to fill out the paperwork. I waited an hour in the waiting room while the woman at the front desk still had my cards before being seen. After we finished up (still another hour) I reported to the front desk to get my belongings and to be gone only to be informed that I owed them something like $140 for the visit. Dr.Powell is a true caring physician. He takes the time to discuss your needs. The entire staff is kind. We can’t say enough good things about our recent visit. I hope this office always is here to serve the Sanford area.
