Performance Medicine of Southwestern Virginia - Dr. Delmas Bolin

I've seen Dr. bolin as suggested by my physical therapist and PCP. I initially had an injury during jiujitsu. I felt a deep shift in my knee, the following day the medial side of my knee was catching in such a strange fashion. He told me to keep on with physical therapy and diagnosed me with a medial tibial head rotation. He educated me on the mechanics of the injury, taught me a manipulation of it happened again, and cautioned me about continuing jiujitsu. I came back to him after it was getting worse with the catching and not going back after no answers with other orthopedics. Went here today for a shoulder issue. My shoulder wasn’t actively in the greatest stage of pain that it had been in and I worried if that would prevent a dx. It did not. The doctor came right in, knowing exactly what happened before he touched my shoulder to confirm. He also used a skeletal model to show me an example of exactly what occurred. Dr. Bolin was able to adjust my bones slightly and then provide a treatment for my shoulder. I was also sent home with several exercises for at home therapy. Bedside manner was very nice. The Dr. is personable and took his time. I didn’t feel rushed and I personally worried if I was taking up too much time. I feel like if I had additional questions or concerns, they would have been answered. The only con is that he is in his office 3 days a week.

After numerous ER, specialist, and doctor's visits over the past 5 months Dr.Bolin went over the images I brought in to him and pointed out the problem within minutes!! After a few minor adjustments, I was able to walk out of his office🙌! Yes, physical therapy is needed, but it's a hell of a better plan than surgery!! He is honestly the most knowledgeable doctor I've ever met. If you're in pain, do yourself a favor and go see him!

Suffering from shoulder pain for months and Dr. Bolin looked at the entire picture- not just my shoulder to see that it was associated with misaligned caused from my scoliosis. I've never been to a Dr. with a better sense of the entire body and how it is connected. Saved me hours of PT, money, most importantly, brought me relief almost instantly after the realignment!

I was able to get an appointment within a few weeks. He is very knowledgeable and wants you to understand. He made adjustments on me and I feel 100% better. I have been to a chiropractor who made adjustments but not the type he did. My body feels like it is in alignment for the first time in forever and I do not have pain!
