I have been a patient with Dr. Stephens the father and now I’m a patient of his son Matthew. I have had excellent dental results. I’ve have several crowns, deep scaling, and my teeth bonded several times.. The professional procedures are second to none. All staff are friendly and knowledgeable with insurance claims . I give their dentistry business 10/10. 💙

I've been going to Dental Associates since I was 12 years old!! (I JUST turned 65 on Dec 2025). When Dr McClanahan retired, I inherited Dr Rebecca Cloudt & I love her & her technicians as much as I did Dr McClanahan & HIS Technicians. I can't imagine going anywhere ELSE (to be honest). They do GREAT work & are TRULY Customer related when it comes to working on a payment plan (whenever necessary) & receiving input from me as necessary when it comes to my cleanings, X-rays, or any OTHER work that's necessary... WITHOUT insisting upon UNNECESSARY work that does NOT need 2b done. I LOVE Dr Cloudt AND everyone that I've dealt with in her staff - especially "Lori" (her Receptionist/Assistant) and the Office Finance Manager who's assisted me in setting up payments for work not covered by insuranc

I’ve had a tumultuous history with dentists for as long as I can remember, my experience here was the exact opposite of what I was used to and set the bar for how I should feel at the dentist. I broke my tooth, and they were the only provider who could see me before thanksgiving. Not only did they offer to send a claim to my insurance despite being an out-of-network provider, they were extremely professional and kind towards me. Dolly especially made me feel so comfortable, safe, and feel like I was there to seek help to do better for my teeth, not to be embarrassed or ashamed of the state of my dental health. I have been going here many years, they are absolutely the best. Making appointments is always a good experience, they never fail to accommodate emergency situations. Dr. Hall and staff are wonderful in every way. Fair pricing, never billing issues....you couldn't ask for better dental care.

Dental Associates, Salem, VA - I have been a patient for decades. Cofounder Dr. Nathan Stephens was excellent. When he retired, I decided to become his son, Dr. Matthew Stephens' patient, and he almost seems to be a clone of his Dad! I have never been afraid of "going to the Dentist", but if I were, my experience would assure me that those fears would be minimized at Dental Associates! Caroline Leftwich is a very gentle and personable hygienist as well. The office staff has been great.
