New Castle Health & Rehabilitation Center

First I put a ton of blame on christiana hospital who placed me here. If ur looking to go here don't its a trap. This isn't a rehab, this is an old folks home with a gym that's pretty much empty. There's only one machine and it's the pedals from a bike. At night people with different mental problems scream and cuss down the hallway at all hours of the night. If u miss a meal or want a soda like in the hospital they tell u doordash delivers. I put my call bell on this morning around 5am and waited a half hour for a nurse to clean out my urinal. They force u to get a tb shot. The place isn't clean n looks like a dump. Please keep ur loved one far away. Right now I'm looking to transfer out.

I can see why this facility has such a Low Rating & wish I had seen it Sooner. My roommate & best friend was Transferred & Admitted here yesterday(Wednesday- (09/24/2025)from The "USELESS!!"- "CHRISTIANA HOSPITAL" at approximately 3pm & she has been there now for her 2nd Day & IS!!-"STILL"-"NOT!!"- "Dressed" or "Changed" or "Bathed" for 2 Days, she has also "NOT!!"- Been Given ANY OF her Proper Medications Necessary, she had not been Evaluated Properly, she was "NOT!!"-Given a Wheelchair or a Walker to use and I received phone calls & Text messages in the middle of the night last night that she was in Pain, that she Needed her Wheelchair & Walker & at the Same Time were Telling her that she couldn't get up Yet!! THEY are "NOT!!"-Doing THEIR JOBS THAT THEY GET PAID TO DO!!... BUT THEY WANT

Early this year my husband was referred here, my son and I went to check it out! How is this place still open? I called Christiana Care and told them don’t transfer my husband here!! The State need to close this mess! Every person deserve quality care, no matter who they are or what they have.

Terrible facility they do not care about your love ones at all. They don’t even respect their wishes and will ignore them. Even if a family member is taking advantage of them they will not do anything about. No matter how many times they expressed how they feel. My grandmother clothes has been going missing, she barely eats and the facility is all around dirty. The only person that greets you is the lady at the door while other workers/staff will just stare at you.

Wow! I can’t say nothing less of compassion and excellent service. My grandpop was a resident at this facility recently and I have NOTHING negative to say. These employees and staff members are trying so hard and it’s felt. The rehab department worked miracles on my grandpop who could not walk coming from the hospital. I am so glad I did not listen to the negative reviews and sent my grandpop to this facility. I’ve never been to a facility that ensures that the families meet all the managers within the first few days. If I ever had any questions I knew exactly who to go to. THANK YOU NEW CASTLE FOR ALL THAT YOUVE DONE FOR MY LOVED ONE.
