Monroe Community Hospital

Our uncle just got a room on the Palative/Hospice unit that is completely brand new with 25 beds and currently 4 patients. Pros - Beautiful architect hospital from 1931 - hospital has been there over 200 years - Very nice staff - Everything on the 4th floor Faith unit is brand new - beds, walls, lights, nursing stations, TVs, recliners, etc. (ALL Brand New) - Accepts Veterans - Faith Unit - Chapel - Family Room to rent and stay over night - Large Dinning Room w/ couches & sink - 2 Family Rooms - Children’s area - Family Games - Water feature - Vending machines - Smart TVs Cons - Under Staffed facility

Our family was very happy with the loving care our Mother received in close to to 3 years of in patient care for Alzheimers. The staff at Hope floor were exceptional and were angels in being there for our mother and family until she passed onto eternal life with Jesus Christ. ✝️

We were very happy with my father's experience on Faith 5 for the several months that he was there for rehab following a stroke. The speech, OT and PT therapists did a great job working with him and he was markedly better upon his departure than when he arrived. He had a goal of attending Thanksgiving dinner with the family and the therapists even did a "dry run" with him helping him get into and out of a vehicle for practice and calling me to let me know how to best assist him on Thanksgiving day. The day went perfectly. The facility is fascinating and clean, my father liked the food and the staff were helpful and pleasant to work with. Would not hesitate to place a loved one there in the future should the need arise. Thank you to all MCH workers who worked with my dad!

The Rehab therapists are the only reason this is getting any stars. Most of the nurses are careless and don’t want to work. They are short staffed. Lights will go off for hours. The food is disgusting. Things will ONLY get done if you have a STRONG advocate. Other wise u are left to rot.

Our Son, who was TBI was there years ago for Rehab. This was given in the best possible way. All that could be done was done in a very caring way by all who helped Scott. I only wish he could've stayed on, but circumstances didn't allow for this at the time. But, I've never forgotten the experience, nor all that was done for him. If I reach the point of needing Skilled Nursing, I hope it will be possible to go there. I can't give a better recommendation. VCS
