Michael Merz

As has been my experience each time meeting with Dr Merz, re: my recent total knee replacement in January, Dr. Merz has shown sincere interest in my progress and concerns, allowing ample time to discuss both, and answering all my questions. I am very happy with how my knee looks and functions, as is my primary care physician, who has expressed admiration for the skillful job Dr Merz performed. It is most refreshing to be given ample time in each visit to be heard, and to cover all my concerns, which are patiently addressed. I have confidence leading up to my second TKR, that my experience will be just as satisfactory.

Dr Merz performed replacement of my left knee and I am very pleased with the result. Finally, I am virtually pain free and am able to perform 99% of my daily tasks. Dr Merz was very helpful throughout my post-surgery rehabilitation, and suggested a manipulation under anesthesia to break up scar tissue that was restricting my range of motion. Afterwards my recovery accelerated, and I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend Dr Merz for your knee or hip replacement. I am a 71-year-old male.

Dr. Merz is a very personable person who can clearly explain things to non-medical people. He listened to everything I wanted to go over, then explained in detail why my hip is causing me pain, what my current options for pain management are and made me aware that at some point in the future, I WILL need a hip replacement (but noted there's no way to tell how soon). He comes across as someone who truly cares about your problem and was able to explain why some options others might have weren't an option for me due to my age (early 60s). I won't hesitate to have Dr. Merz do my hip replacement when that time comes.

Dr. Merz was very cordial, knowledgeable, and listened to my needs attentively. I’m a registered nurse, and he definitely has excellent bedside manners. I would definitely refer him to my family and friends, if they need his services.

Dr. Merz is a great doctor and surgeon. He is very understanding and listened to my concerns. I am glad that he was my surgeon.
