Today was the second time that I have gone to this location. When it comes to urgent care facilities around the bay when you don't have decent insurance, it can be a helluva time. As a lifelong patient, I don't expect much. But both times I have been to this place have been unfortunately unpleasant experiences. The first time I came in for a gnarly cut on my knuckle that needed stitches. I do not judge the doctor for being older and less dextrous, but he shouldn't have been giving stitches. Two came out before bed, barely attached to anything, and another the next morning. I removed the last one myself. His stitches lasted less than 48 hours. I came in for a TB test for employment. When I called the day before around 5:30pm, the receptionist abruptly told me they were closed when I just had a general question. When I came in the next day, I realized it was the same person. Her demeanor felt dismissive, like she wasn’t interested in helping patients. The only time I heard her use a pleasant tone was when she was speaking with a coworker. There was also a mistake with my status as a patient. I didn’t know that after two years you’re considered a new patient. Instead of politely explaining, she said, “I asked you if you were a new patient,” which came off curt. Vanessa from Berkeley denied service to my daughter after a NURSE told her to drive from antioch to berkeley and that they closed at 5pm mind you we arrive at 3:30pm. I been with lifelong medical center for more than 20 years and Vanessa from front service just made the clinic look super unprofessional and completely lack of empathy and ethics standards by stating that she needed to go home way before closing time. Nurses should have more authority than regulat stuff members like Vanessa that she is front stuff only.

I went to Urgent (could- Care less and The chic/not lady was rude to all 3 of the patients in the waiting room and we were the first patients of the day!!! There was no scale for me to weigh myself...so how did they put down my weight and BMI??? The doctor barely gave me eye contact and called me by the wrong name and almost gave me a med that would have interacted with one of my meds but I kept repeating the name of my med until he heard and changed the med. This whole experience was a sad joke and it was early in morning so what are these people like by noon? The reviews are horrible and they still are open. The lifelong clinic is horrible too! I was having trouble figuring out my new insurance (newly 26 and off my parents) and desperately needed to see a doctor. The front desk lady made the whole situation worse by being rude and extremely unhelpful. Luckily, I found a different urgent care, no thanks to her. I cant imagine treating someone who is sick like that.
