I experienced something i pray nobody else has to. My dog started coughing strangely Thursday night. Called the vet in morning asking if I could increase her med. They called back and wanted to see her. Wednesday the 25th I brought her in. The cough had already been better for 2 days. But my concern was a lump she had for years was growing. On arrival Katie Ann my angel was in no distress. A complete history of her was taken by a tec. She was stable!!!!!!! And that is documented in her records. Vet examined her quickly and wanted xrays. I agreed. When Katie came back into the room she was panting terribly. Vet returned n then wanted blood work done. They took her away again. Terrible! I took my dog there few years ago in which he got diagnosed with Lyme disease. They gave him medication. I called to see if there’s anything we can do to which they said he would need to be seen again (understandable) but then some lady calls back saying that he was never diagnosed with lymes and that I’m just assuming he was. I will never take my dog to such an unorganized and unprofessional place again. And what’s the point of an animal hospital when they are booked out till next December and they have no emergency room. They’re basically useless. Update to your nonprofessional response. He did in fact receive that diagnosis from the doctor treating him and my mom who was also in the room was told the same thing. First time going under some unfortunate circumstances, they were amazing at accommodating us even last second because our dog didn’t make it through the night. Thank you guys so much for making it so much easier for us on handing over our pup for cremation, it is never an easy thing to do.

All Doctors and Staff are Fantastic to work with. Years ago, my dog was rough shape. The care was 2nd to NONE!!! I would recommend the care there for any animal. Professional, Polite, and Super Helpful. Dr. Scott and all other Doctors have been wonderful to work with over the years, and we were so fortunate for their care. I Definitely recommend them!!! We took our 100 pound German Shepherd, Lupo, to Iron Mountain Animal Hospital on last minute notice due to an urgent issue as he had a dangerously infected leg and was very uncomfortable. They were able to get us in the next day (when no animal hospital in the area would accommodate us). The building/facility is new and very clean. The waiting area is comfortable for pets of all shapes and sizes. The reception team, nurses, and doctors were very gentle and patient with Lupo and ensured he was as comfortable as possible. I would recommend Iron Mountain Animal Hospital to any pet owner that needs urgent or consistent care for their pet.
