InterMed Urgent Care - By Appointment Only

I use Intermed for Primary Care but will never use this service again. Was told I just had allergies when I knew it was a sinus infection because it is a pattern, I even questioned the visit summary and the doctor came back with the same care instructions I had already indicated I was using and were not working. Here we are 2 days later and I am at another urgent care because I couldn't wait for a visit with my PCP at intermed and I have a sinus infection and an ear infection. I understand the desire to not over prescribe antibiotics but sending people away to suffer who have a clear history of an issue is BS. Will never use this service again and am very disappointed in Intermed, if I didn't love my PCP I would move to another health system because of this experience.

I am so grateful I had access to this Care Team. Professional, courteous, effective treatment by caring staff. On a Sunday! I would have had my teeth pulled without novacane before I would have sought help in the emergency room. Thank you.

For Quest Diagnostic Users: if ordering tests from QuestHealth directly, despite its listing as an option to schedule your appointment on QuestHealth’s website, this facility WILL NOT process your request unless faxed directly from your PCP. Their systems (Quest/Intermed) don’t talk to each other and you will waste your time. Trust me, save yourself the drive to Portland and go into the Quest Diagnostics Branded facility in Topsham, ME. Confirmed via QuestHealth customer support care. Not sure why they still list this location as an option.

Exceptional service. I was an existing patient with one of their doctors and I had tested positive for COVID and called urgent Care. Within an hour they had called in a prescription for paxlovid for me. A few weeks later after recovering from COVID I came down with bronchitis. I called them again, the nurse consulted with the doctor on call and they called in another prescription for me for coughing. Very convenient and very professional.

I waited 4 hours + for a promised callback from an RN after they discussed with the oncall DR my request for a lab test, based on my medical history. I had my phone next to me, waiting, I finally called them and they said we sent you a notice on the portal, then had the gall to ask me why I didnt call the specialist (lol, on a weekend when they aren't open) or I could wait for my PCP on Monday. 👎👎poor service, at least it's not life threatening.
