Very annoyed with the wic departments regulations on formula. My doctor said we should not switch formula as my son has been on gentlease enfamil and has done wonderful on it. We had to switch because of their guidelines and try atleast 2 different similac formulas which we already have. Now we have to try another one after my son just had an allergy to the similac total comfort they made me switch to. I’m very frustrated as we have already tried 2 different similacs that did not fit my baby. My child’s doctor even said that’s not a good idea yet we still have to try another one for them to accept the prescription they doctor gave them for the formula that had worked for him for 6 months. My baby doesn’t deserve to be a test dummy just because of their poor regulations. I am beyond

I had an absolutely amazing experience here today. I called to schedule an appointment and the woman on the phone got me in that morning and did my paperwork with me as soon as I got there. I didn't have to wait long to be seen by the lab lady or the nurse practitioner. After my exam was finished the nurse practitioner, the RN who did my intake/history questions and this other RN worked so hard together to get me my further appointments scheduled and to help me find options to pay for my future appointments because I don't have insurance. I haven't had that kind of service in a long time. You can tell they aim to be helpful and do everything they can for you. I am so grateful for the women who helped me at my visit. While the ladies that handled my sons' shots and physicals during our last visit were great and managed to keep them both nice and calm during the ordeal the lady at the front desk is not very good at her job and has a serious issue with listening to what is said to her. I guess she has selective hearing and only hears what she wants to hear. Told her I work during their hours of operation and needed my sons' immunization paperwork faxed to their school, like they've done before, since I can't get up there to pick them up during regular hours and her reply was "Okay one moment.... Okay they're printed off and will be here waiting for you to pick up. Just call when you get in front of the building and we'll meet you at the door." Asked what i owed em n they told me (under $20 for all std tests n a pregnancy test n birth control pills, n a pap smear, not bad, i thought) so my then bf (now husband) paid cash n we left. He would've paid em whatever asked cause i had just moved to Ky n had no doctor or insurance here yet. Two weeks later i got a letter from em, a bill, then my test results, then a bill every month for over a year, its only for $11, they're still waiting on $11 btw.

I just called and tried make an appointment and the way they talked to me. Instead of trying to help they told me to call me doctor... yet I wanted to come there... This is the problem with these health departments!!! They are RUDE and Careless!!! I will be going to evansville health department cause at least they know how to answer a phone and speak correctly
