Fred Meyer Pharmacy

Don’t ever use Fred Meyer pharmacy in Juneau. My husband needed his prescription filled as Juneau Drug didn’t have it. As soon as I mentioned I was on a cruise ship, the pharmacist refused to fill my prescription, told me I wasn’t welcome and told me he didn’t have time to fill it. He told me not to bother coming because he wasn’t filling it. My husband’s condition deteriorated due to needing the medication. I’m just sorry I didn’t get his name, I would’ve reported him to the state of Alaska. Juneau residents hate tourists so much but this was just plain wrong.

I was traveling through Juneau and came down with Covid. I was sent to the pharmacy to pick up medication by a local clinic after being respectfully seen and diagnosed. I am on foot and not feeling well at all. I was masked, social distancing and had sanitized before going in - all appropriate PPE to not contaminate those around me. The pharmacy tech/cashier loudly stated my diagnosis outloud and asked me to leave the building to stand in the rain outside of their pharmacy to complete my purchase. The young woman at the window was more disappointing: disrespectful, non compassionate and argumentative. I am a health care provider myself and I would never have treated a patient in the manner that this pharmacy treated me. I hope this services to improve education for these employees.

These guys are awesome. I don't understand what all the complaining is about? The line is always short. The walk up counters are usually well staffed. One time they could not fill my prescription because they had run out of the medication. Instead of turning me away they gave me enough to get through a couple days until their shipment came in. I like the automatic texting system so I know things are ready before making the trip. If I were to complain about anything? I'd say they need to wash their scrubs more often and maybe wear the proper size. It would look more professional. Otherwise I'm happy!

Consistently good. We have been patronizing this Pharmacy for 20+ years and they’ve given us excellent care. When we were stuck down south they worked with the pharmacist in that city to get emergency prescriptions for us. Whenever we’ve had questions they are prompt and thoughtful- when I went to Hawaii I wanted to figure out what created my sun sensitivity, and they had excellent recommendations. We’ve had some medical scares and they’ve always had the quick pain killer filled, or anti biotic (depending on which scare) and been right there for us. Their hours are quite lengthy with 7 days a week access. I compared my diabetic supply prices to two other locations recently and they were the best. Due to their large size they always seem well stocked too. And I like the quick notification

If you want the manager Michael to call you back for an issue, DO NOT hold your breath. Nobody there seems to be able to get scripts write for vital prescriptions (insulin). Furthermore, the new female pharmacist is beyond rude and takes no consideration for you being the “customer!” She could care less what your concerns are! They have so many customers that customer service goes right out the window. If you want to feel like you are cared for, do not go to Fred Meyers pharmacy. Every other pharmacy will treat you with respect. Enough said!!
