Family House: UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland

The experience that Im currently having at the family is awesome they are very nice and attentive to my needs an the needs of my supervised visitor and they are someone I would recommend to stay at if they are in this sort of situation.

This is a very special place with incredible people who are saints to help support your family during difficult times. When our youngest was diagnosed with an aggressive type of leukemia in 2017, the family house was integral in providing a safe place to stay and allowed us to be wholly focused on the medical issues at hand without worrying about shelter and where our oldest son could eat and play. Mack and the other ladies were so kind to us for 4 months and became like family. There is really no way to ever pay them back for how wonderful they treated us. Thank you all again so much.

OUR 8 YEAR OLD SON XAVIER HAD OPEN HEART SURGERY ON 6/12/2025 AND TWO DAYS LATER FAMILY HOUSE TOOK US IN SO WE CAN BE CLOSER TO OUR SON. THE STAFF WAS REALLY NICE AND TREATED US LIKE FAMILY OUR OTHER 12 YEAR OLD SON CJ LIKED IT. THANK YOU FAMILY HOUS FROM THE WOODRUFF AND THESFORD FAMILY.

I had just been released from the hospital after having my baby and had to make a two hour trip. They told us it might take a few days to get into the family house but they were able to get us in that very day. They were very considerate of my baby in the nicu and always made us feel welcomed. We are very fortunate to have a time here. And not worry about spending money we didn’t have on a place or food, as they provided a breakfast and lunch. I have two other children that enjoyed there time at the Family House.

Had an unexpected trip to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital & was there for 13 days due to our sick child. The Family House was a blessing. We live 4 hrs away so it was wonderful to have a place to stay within walking distance from the hospital. All staff were kind, the house was clean & we were able to park our vehicle in their gated garage. We are forever greatful for their services.
