East Bay Vision Center Optometry

Had an appointment here recently and it was a great experience. The office was lively and inviting. The staff were helpful and efficient. I saw Dr Lee and she was INCREDIBLE - she was really down to earth, thorough, and kind. When she had to look under my eyelid (which feels really weird and is a little disorienting) she was really reassuring and quick to do what she needed to do. Overall 10/10 would recommend!

They were easy to work with, they carry a wide selection of frames that fit my larger face, and the glasses were ready in a week! They were also responsive to my emails. They carry the Korean brand CARIN which make light and minimalist titanium frames. I do recommend checking this place out!

Friendly staff, located conveniently in Oakland Chinatown with nearby parking garage. We always get bread from the bakery while we wait. I have met several eye doctors at this location over the years. All of them are kind and patient. They are bilingual in English and Cantonese. The doctors really care about my well being. They asked about my lifestyle to make sure I have the best eye care. My family and I appreciate East Bay Vision!

This place has to be one of the worst optometrists I've ever experienced. The whole outfit is like something out of 1980 - no updated tech, janky manual devices for eye tests, reading vision charts in what appear to be old shaving mirrors. I have no idea how this is even a business much less a place to receive medical care. Staff outside of the doctor were either rude or incompetent and seemed to be actively making the doctor's job more difficult by moving charts and complete disorganization. My visit took nearly 3 hours. I had an appointment a full month ago and have yet to receive my trial contact lenses, used my one insurance-covered exam for the whole year, and was told ordering a full box of contacts would take over a month. When I expressed that I qualify for medically necessary con
