Desert Canyon Foot & Ankle

This is not a Review because I was unable to secure an appointment when I called. I was told that they could not help me as I was NOT a Diabetic. I was asked 'Are you a Diabetic' & when answer 'No' I was told they could not help me because I needed to be a Diabetic! This Podiatrist was recommended to me on my neighborhood App.

Great Doctor, Dr. Brower Rocks!!! I can’t say enough of this place down to earth people person listens to his patient’s great great great people personality skills,there should be more doctors just like Dr. Brower. Had toenail surgery today very fast efficient informative from the experience receptionist to the nurse to Dr. Brower What an awesome group thanks again, Desert Canyon foot and ankle!!!

I love this office and the staff. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I have been a patient of Dr. Pfitzer for about six months now, and from the first day she made me feel comfortable, not judged, and she is informative. She definitely looks out for your best interest.

Staff and billing department do not communicate with each other. I scheduled my initial consultation in April 2024 and I had a 40 dollar co-pay. I was seen by Dr Brower and I explained that my heals and bottom of my feet hurt on a daily basis. Within 10 minutes he came to the conclusion that I have Plantar Fasciitis and I would need custom orthotics. I told him that I'm not sure my insurance covers this. He said don't worry about that we don't do anything until we get approval first. He told me it could take at least 30 days for approval. So they scheduled me out two months to make sure it was covered. Two months later I come back to be fitted for my orthotics. I asked about the insurance portion and I was told that my insurance was good and it was all approved. 30 days later I go back in

I thought that this place was good up until a few years ago. I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and was told I would need orthotics for my shoes and that the insurance would cover it. Well the insurance refused to cover it and the next thing you know, I was slapped with an almost $400 bill for it. The doctor told me that since I was a good patient that they would cut the price in half, only to be told later on that this wouldn't happen. I was also told that I should buy a pair of Hoka shoes since they would be better for my foot and ankle issues. I spent $150 on a pair of those shoes, which ended up falling apart and having to be tossed in the trash in less than six months!
