Complete Care at Wheaton

Complete Care of Wheaton is a nice, clean facility with some of the most amazing front desk employees. They are always welcoming and helpful, which makes a big difference for families visiting their loved ones. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the nursing care. The nursing department could truly use an overhaul. It is very concerning when the nurses responsible for treating and caring for your loved one have difficulty understanding you or your loved one, and the care provided suffers because of it. Even with consistent communication from family members, the concerns often seem to go unheard. The nursing culture at this facility is alarming and disheartening. My husband has been in the facility for almost a week !! Everyone is very friendly & the place is very clean !! While I like everyone!! There are two people who has been working with my husband that really makes me feel comfortable about leaving my husband to go home !! Roger has been a wonderful nurse & U !! She cleans his room !! They are very helpful!! As I stated everyone there is willing to help & I am truly grateful for their kindness!! I have a since of peace about the place !! Everyone is so friendly from the time you come in to sign in until the time you leave !! Thank you so much for everything!!

From the front door to the rooms everyone was very professional and welcoming to me. My brother is there and the nurses were very concerned and were very nice to us. Thanks so much.

I have been in many skilled nursing facilities. I would have to describe what I saw as the slums of nursing homes. No lobby. What they do have set up as a lobby is filthy and consists of about 3 dirty chairs. I feel sorry for the residents who have to call this their home. I only went to visit because I was obligated to and it was too late to cancel as I was not looking to visit a skilled facility. The smell was overpowering. My only guess is this is a Medicaid facility. When that is the case their funding is the bare minimum. I felt gross the moment I walked in but mostly I felt sad for those who cannot leave that horrible environment.

My son is homeless and was at this facility. Not only did he fall twice unsupervised he was blamed as if he did it on purpose. He was lied to about being transferred to another facility upon arrival he was told they didn’t have the necessary paperwork for him to be admitted. Upon arrival back at Complete Care he was met with no re-admission but to only be sent to a hotel for a few days. My son is homeless and has health issues. This facility does not care about that. He was given no prior warning or meeting determining his plans for being discharged. Wasn’t even given to consideration or option to stay at this facility while he appealed his decision to be discharged. New style people don’t believe they will get sick or be met with misfortunes in their health. Is this even legal? Who puts a
