Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital

I want to this hospital 10stars but it doesn’t give the option i want to share my story of how so greatful i am for the care that my family received the entire time we was there and we was released other after anniversary! The night sept 18 my spouse was experiencing persisting but wouldn’t go to the hospital then the next day my son calls me at work to tell me he was the same way but still said no hospitals to him, well i hung up with my so and I immediately called Ronnie and said get your clothes on your going to the hospital and that our son was taking him not to our local hospital (just wouldn’t be ideal for the situation anyway)but to Rocky mount they went and I soon Joined them so my so could leave . I’ve been here twice the last 3 months and they’re the absolute worst. They take 3-4 hours for honestly nothing. The first time they practically kicked me out before even knowing I had tested positive for covid. They had to call me to tell me. This time they took 2 hours before ever seeing me and getting my vitals, i’m so glad I brought my own blood pressure up before I came here, I’d probably pass out and die waiting in the waiting room. GO TO ROANOKE OR MARTINSVILLE!!!

I was seen in the emergency room 1/29/26 from the result of falling on ice and breaking my wrist. I was blessed enough to receive the care of PA Katherine Yakuboff. Because of her expertise and exceptional care I don't have to have surgery for hardware. Not only did she set my wrist back perfect, she was so kind, so patient and so attentive. The emergency room nurses went over and above their call of duty also. I've always heard not to go to this hospital but since my only experience here I highly recommend it and kudos to the whole emergency room department.

I have been to this hospital on multiple occasions for different reasons and every experience has been caring and compassionate by nurses and doctors, haven’t had much of a wait to be seen other than when their extremely packed which is a given, I truly feel like the staff do their best to do what they can in a timely manner. People need to be more patient and understanding that patients are seen on a severity bases and not by who got their first..

Another instance of an okay establishment--this hospital has gotten way better since Carilion took over, but it is still not the best I've had. This place is really clean, with some good staff, but there are other doctors and nurses that I have had qualms with in the past due to carelessness and negligence. Like I said, it has gotten much better and I do recommend you come here for the clinic or the ER.
