I have had a rotator cuff injury from lifting weights for about 2 years. I spent time at different PT places, getting stronger but never pain free, and unable to resume weight training. I was lucky enough to find BRI, and sought services from Dr. Terry Rose. He has gotten me back into the gym and pressing a barbell again after only 6 visits! He's an expert, and very funny and personable. All the rest of the staff have been very friendly and accommodating as well. Their model of one on one care for their patients is rare and effective. I'd recommend BRI to anyone.
Throughout life I've received physical therapy for a variety of conditions. Some twenty years ago due to numerous symptoms of MS I was sent to Susan Bennett Rehab and thankfully Matt became (and continues to be) my physical therapist. He's one of the most knowledgeable, insightful, persistent and caring providers I have encountered throughout life. His professionalism, continual learning, compassion and understanding of the human condition serves his patients well. Matt's understanding of the condition, it's effects and the wide ranging needs of people living with MS has been key in helping me successfully navigate life contending with multiple and ever-changing symptoms including balance, strength, mobility and a list too long for this space. I recommend Matt for anyone suffering from t
I saw Matt at first for vestibular therapy after I got a concussion. I didn’t know what to expect from it, but he turned out to be the ONLY professional that I encountered after this horrible injury to make any difference in my recovery. It took a few months of regular therapy and practicing on my own, but eventually I was feeling much better and as recovered as I could be. We stopped our sessions on great terms, and I was able to get back to the gym. Fast forward a bit, and I got another injury, completely different (Achilles tendinitis). The place that diagnosed it had PT available for it, but not for several months. It occurred to me to reach out to Matt again and see if he could help me out with this as well. Turns out, he could, and much sooner than the other place! Again, in just a
have been going to Susan Bennett rehabilitation for about 15 years and have always seen Matt as my physical therapist. well Matt was away on vacation. I had the honor and privilege of meeting and working with Susan Bennett, Who was absolutely outstanding . She did an amazing job, passing down and training her physical therapists in the same way she listens to patients and helps in anyway possible. I have mitochondrial myopathy and severe osteoarthritis. I had nine surgeries most of which were joint replacements in three years. Unfortunately I have to have one of my knee replacements redone because it failed. I have found that Susan Bennett rehabilitation is one of the only places that really understands and treats people with mitochondria myopathy. Matt is very caring and understanding
When you become ill and your body doesn't work the way it should, whether its from a disease/disorder, injury, or surgery its scary to feel that loss of independence. Whether its for a short period of time or a lifelong battle. A Physical Therapist who has the ability to truly hear, clarify, and convey understanding of the obstacles you face is so important. All that leads to trusting your therapist and working on a treatment plan to find physical aids or exercises that are safe and produce results. Thank you Matt O. for your knowledge and professionalism.
