Aspen Dental - Vestal, NY

Great, first time experience here at Aspen Dental. Professional staff. My dental hygienist Jennifer did a great job. Lucy the x-ray technician was very efficient. Nate at the front desk was as genuinely kind as could be to everyone. Dr. Melnik was highly competent, professional and helpful.

I was a first time patient today! I came in with two cavity's a chipped tooth and completely nervous and scared as to what I needed done!! I had no dentist in the area and no insurance however aspen dental gave me multiple options and knew exactly what I needed done and came up with a plan to get my smile where it needs to be again!!! The staff is absolutely AMAZING they educated me on everything being done and Informed me on what still needs attention and how they would go about things!! That aside they are also super friendly and made me very comfortable from the beginning 5/5 will definitely be back!!

Quick, concise, and kind. I have had to go a lot recently for a root canal and cavities. The cavities were painless and done timely. Root canal comes with some pain as normal but they were really careful and concise. They don’t make you feel bad about your teeth, I even overheard another dental hygienist tell a man in a different room who said he had “all messed up teeth” that he was in the right step for getting things fixed and he didn’t need to be ashamed of his teeth. I thought that was very kind of her and they also never presented any judgment towards my teeth. I’ve had previous dentists from other places tell me rude remarks, it’s nice to know they have kind people working there and want to help people. I recommend Aspen Dental to everyone! The front reception staff and the dental hygienists/assistants were all pleasant and informative in my two experiences visiting the location. It was clean and organized. Unfortunately, the Dentist himself is cold and lacking "bedside manner." Meeting him followed by scheduling to remove a tooth were not pleasant experiences. Mr. Melnik very clearly lacks empathy - which goes a long way, if you have it. If you are looking to come to the office for the first time, don't bother explaining how terrified you are of dental offices - you will be disregarded, regardless of how comforting their efforts are.

They cleaned my teeth so well that I've got a gap I didn't know about before! The wait was a little long but the service was worth it so I can't complain. You wouldn't expect a dentist's office to have a nice atmosphere but it was decorated at the time I came in, so it felt less clinical than you'd expect. The people were friendly and patient as well.
