Anacortes Family Center

I contacted Anacortes Family Center after losing everything in recent catastrophic flooding across Washington state. They answered the phone in a timely, friendly manner and offered as much information band resources as possible. We were quickly referred to coordinator name Peter who immediately stepped in and help us. Never have we ever need help until now and we have struggled since December at trying to get help, as soon as Peter came on the phone he immediately relieved some stress for us by helping us get off the street and finding us a fantastic warm, safe, clean, dry place to stay while trying to obtain a more permanent housing solution. He also helped us out with bus passes to be able to get around to seek out other resources. We didn't have anything for food and no way to obtain a

If you are in need and have already called 411, the Anacortes Family Center is your next stop on the way toward being gainfully employed and permanently housed. The staff, which include David, Rachel, Kate, and Karen are friendly, helpful, and very experienced in turning negative circumstances into positive outcomes. If you need help, call them or go there! I did, and boy, has my life changed. I have a job, an apartment, and a more stable life. They are there to help you as long as you are ready to help yourself. Good luck!

A wonderful group of people, I've really enjoyed volunteering here! They are very helpful with families with a studio apt with everything in it, also help you with any of your financial issues you maybe having, by providing you & your family a studio apt rent free for up to 3 months so you can save for your next place. They are wonderful!

All of the staff is so friendly. They are really helpful, and the first place in years that has truly helped my family. So thankful for this place
