I recently had a 2-hour "relaxing" massage. I typically get 1-hour deep tissue from other places and feel pretty relaxed. I figured this time I'd treat myself to something different. I must have had a large knot in each shoulder, which felt like the muscle was separated somehow, although I never had as rough a massage as this time. I had never had a medical massage before, so I have no baseline to compare. She found every pressure point, which I was trusting would benefit the process, but I found myself twinging with agony. I was hoping it was only that one shoulder, but this happened to all of my limbs 😵‍💫.
