Dr. Tamamoto is truly exceptional. My son has extensive medical needs, special needs, and is followed by multiple specialty doctors, and Dr. Tamamoto consistently takes the time to address all of his needs. He is never rushing, never dismissing concerns. What stands out most is how he interacts directly with my son. My son has a speech impairment, and Dr. Tamamoto patiently listens, gives him the time he needs to communicate, and makes sure he feels heard. He goes out of his way to make my son feel comfortable, which is not something we experience often in medical settings. He jokes with him, builds rapport, and treats him with genuine respect. I have been taking my children to Aiea pediatrics for over 2 years now. Dr Tamamoto and his staff have always been kind, helpful, and respectful. I feel that he really listens to all of my concerns and truly cares about his patients. He goes above and beyond to care for my kids and genuinely enjoys the work that he does. We will be extremely sad to move off island next year for our next PCS and wish we could take him with us!
