This review is long overdue, but I wanted to get it in before the new year! This summer (2025) my teenager's front tooth needed a root canal and we are so grateful we were taken care of by Dr. Castro! There were so many questions, scenarios and a LOT of dental anxiety- Dr. Castro was literally a saint. No pressure, MANY conversations, extra consults and she made sure my 19 year old could text her if she had any questions. She was professional, did exceptional work and was incredibly personable too. Thank you Dr. Castro for your patience, professionalism and guidance! The entire office was extremely friendly and accommodating and they are highly recommended.​

I am genuinely terrified of dental procedures, even though I have a great dentist, so when I was referred to Dr. Elba Castro at Advanced Endodontics of Virginia, I went in nervous but hopeful. I’m still sitting here in awe, because the experience was that good. Dr. Castro was incredibly patient and deeply compassionate with my fears around pain. It honestly felt like a full concierge experience: a massage dental chair, a cozy blanket, noise-canceling headphones, thoughtful pain management, and constant communication so I always knew what was happening. Once I was numb, the actual root canal took maybe 10 minutes. I was in and out. And here’s the part I still can’t believe, zero pain. Even after the numbing wore off later that night, I had absolutely no pain in the tooth. I am so impressed
