Wouldn't recommend this vet. I recently moved to this area, and came here because of the positive reviews. The front desk staff was not polite. Dr. Shelton doctor didn't speak coming into the room. The exam consisted of listening to her heart, feeling her fur, and pulling on her leg that I told them she broke as a kitten. Didn't look at her teeth, stomach, in her ears, or take her temperature. The exam room was filthy see attached photos.

I can’t recommend this business more highly than I already do. From your first point of contact with the people on the phones, to the nurses, to the doctors—kindness. I came here with a very sick rescue kitten and Dr Ward provided excellent care from the very beginning. Dr Ward helped me extend this sick cat’s life longer than any other veterinary practices were willing to and gave me much longer with him than we expected. This business was very flexible and understanding of my schedule as well as the hour drive to get to them. I was constantly calling in with questions and concerns for the doctor and was never met with annoyance, which I appreciate more than anything. If you’re deciding whether or not to trust your pet’s care to this facility, the answer is YES.

We have been with York Vet for quite a few years now and have always been happy with their care, however, in the last few days we are beyond thankful for ALL the incredible staff at York Vet. We took in 3 of our dogs Tuesday for surgery for spay/neuter and gastropexy for our Danes. I was pretty uneasy about leaving one of our Danes due to her being a service dog, but they assured me she would do great. Night 1 at home was ROUGH. One of the dogs was so sick, one couldn't even get up for hours, and the other would not stop crying. Kate from York Vet called first thing Wednesday morning to check in with how they were doing. I cannot express how much I appreciate and love every single staff member at this vet office. They worked with me through not only one but TWO surgeries for my cat. When i really needed the help and guidance they were there through every tear and question I had. I called every morning for two weeks and I was met with such kind and loving souls every phone call. They were able to save my sweet cat. And we are so so so thankful. I cannot recommend Dr. Weidinger and her staff enough. York vet helped our girl when she was in need. Suffering from chronic “happy tail” that we tried catering to that led to amputation. York vet seen her immediately and had the surgery scheduled for the next day. The entire staff is kind and attentive. They did not care how many times I called them and the surgeon patiently answered all of our questions. Raya even made some new friends 😊 Thank you York Veterinary Hospital, Raya and her family appreciates you caring for her at a short notice and making her better!
