Winchester Hospital Urgent Care - Woburn

I'm grateful to have this facility and staff available locally. We made a first visit here on a Saturday afternoon, and I wasn't sure what to expect, so I'm writing a review to share our experience: - The photo on Google Maps of the outside made me wonder about the facility. But inside is a large, new and spacious facility. They said they moved here in early 2025. - We met three staff and one doctor. All were capable and pleasant to deal with. - They have a state-of-the-art radiology setup. It was great to be able to get an x-ray done right away, on the weekend. (It did take some time to get results, I assume we were waiting for a remote radiologist to review the x-rays.) - We were seen right away, no one else was there when we arrived. But there were quite a few people waiting on our way

What a horrible place to visit. Hours and hours of waiting to hear an excuse that other places are twice as busy. The RN doesn't know why I had BP meds on my chart. All they want to do is tests so they can bill the insurance. Called prior visiting to hear no appointment for my condition. Yet asked about having an appointment when arrived. No one seem to have an answer for anything.

Really excellent experience start to finish. Called and was lucky that there was no one waiting, they triaged my concern over the phone to ensure urgent care was appropriate and told me to come right in. I was seen promptly and both RN and nurse practitioner were pleasant, professional, and efficient. Nurse practitioner actually examined me which has not always been my experience at urgent cares, had great insight, and was very open to my questions. The facility is new and was quite nice. Would definitely come back, I’m sure I just got lucky with the quick in and out as there were not a lot of other patients but regardless was very happy with my care.

Beware the treatment you receive here will be billed as OUT PATIENT even if you are going for URGENT CARE services. Your URGENT CARE BENEFITS will not apply. They can get away with this because they offer out patient services as well.

Posting this review after two visits here - one for my mom, and one for my preteen daughter. Both times the staff was amazing, the doctor was great. They have all the facilities to run tests, do test x-rays if needed etc right there. I booked online, and didn't have much of a wait. I would definitely go back here!
