Willowcreek Wellness and Rehabilitation

This place is horrible. My son was in there for wound care and they barely had him hooked up to the machine. Out of everyone there only one person knows how to change a wound vac and if something goes wrong with it over the weekend your screwed until Monday. You can't heal like that. There pharmacy is all the way in Kansas City so if you need meds right away your screwed. Most of there staff do not stand on business and they are very lazy. One thing they do know how to stay on top of is visiting hours, putting people love ones out so that can't see how horrible they are over night. I wish they could do the rest of there job as good as they monitor visiting hours. Patients help lights be on way to long before someone come to see about them. The facility has recently been under new management and the improvements since are very noticeable. The facility doesn't smell as it did previously, it's clean and well maintained. My family member was transferred to willowcreek because of reoccurring issues at her previous facility. It took a little bit of time for improvement as she was not being well taken care of previously, and staff at willowcreek has handled it promptly with great communication. The staff and the DON and Administrator are very personable and knowledgeable. You can tell things are turning around not only for my family member, but within the facility as a whole. I am thankful and excited to see the continued growth and improvements.

My experience with this facility is that the Nurse Mary is very attentive to her patients and she make sure the the staff stay on top of there game when come to the residents, she is friendly , and always concerned about residents well being

My grandpa was in this place a while back. My family and I would visit every once in a while. He had difficulty swallowing, and every time we visited, we’d have to clean out scabs from his mouth/throat area. We had left those scabs with a note in the room, informing the nursing home to do something, and to help him, instead of doing nothing. Eventually, he passed away from choking on his own scab, even after informing them multiple times to help him out. They had let him die.
