Dr. Mattox was my physician for multiple years. He gave me alternatives opposed to having multiple surgeries. Over time he came up with ideas/solutions to ease my excruciating pain that I live with on a daily basis. He offered me many different things to try to give me a better quality of life. He sent me to the neck and back institute in Winston Salem and they devised a game plan to keep me from having surgery. Dr Maddox is one of the best in Medicine. Listens, answers all questions my experience with him has been all 5 stars. What stands out regarding Dr Maddox "HE LOVES BEING A DOCTOR!" UNFORTUNATELY HE IS NO LONGER TAKING IN PATIENTS. I LOVE HIM AS A DOCTOR: I Sat in waiting room listening to prior patients of Dr. Maddox and one of his really stuck out, he continues to retire but he can't because he loves being a doctor which is the same opinion l had. UNFORTUNATELY as l mentioned above he is no longer taking any patients and he has retired for the last time. He continues to oversee, I DON'T no the legal terms of what he does. In my eyes he continues to oversee his practising PA's. As I said before in my eyes, what a physician who can't let go of some form of medicine. Which means a 5 sta
