Although I had trained for the Half portion of the Wilmington Marathon since the last Battleship Half, I had a foot pain show itself on a light run two days before the race. With the limp I had, I was sure I’d have to scratch it a day before. All kinds of emotions in my thoughts. Dr. Brittany looked at it the afternoon before the race, applied needles, and e-stim’d my foot. I got up the next morning, and thought ‘this may be doable…’ Not only did I finish, but squeaked a Sub-2 hour half. I could not have done it without her treatment. I still have work to do but I was able to log #17 half marathon. I am sincere when I say this; thank you.
