West Jordan Clinic - InstaCare

I wish I could give 0 stars. This is the worst instacare I’ve EVER been to. I’ve given them several chances because they’re right by my house, but everytime is a disappointment. I once went in with a virus and the doctor told me to go home and keep taking ibuprofen, had to go the the er for them to give me antibiotics. Took my son in because he was sick, they checked his lungs & said they looked great. Went to the hospital and he had a pneumonia. It’s super hard to believe they’re educated over here. They just want you out as quickly as possible. If you don’t test positive for Covid or strep, they assume you’re perfectly fine and send you on your way.

AWFUL!!!!!!!! Dr. Douglas Smith has NO BEDSIDE MANNERS, he basically told me I wasn’t having the symptoms I was having. Would not listen to my concerns would not make eye contact felt very dismissive and then I decided to asked for another physician and he denied request saying he was who he had and insisted on not letting me see someone else, then just walked out of the room without saying anything, very dismissive on my health concerns never have I had a physician act that way with me. It was the most ridiculous experience I’ve ever had with a so-called doctor who clearly lacks the ability to treat patients

These guys took great care of me. Dr. Peterson was very personable and knew exactly how to help me and he was so professional in sharing his knowledge with me. I was VERY impressed by his medical assistant, too. He was super cool and not only friendly but super helpful. Overall, the care team made me feel important and that my health mattered. It was also clear they all wanted me to get well. Oh, and bonus! No wait time at the clinic!

Both the lady who helped me and her assistant were very nice. I was a little concerned when they had me lay on my stomach to work on what I thought was a boil. It was situated directly beside my anus slightly toward the back. Once she pierced it and was pushing out the stuff she said there was a cyst under it. Ok, and? She put some antibiotic ointment and gauze pad on it and gave me some instructions. Then it was out the door. I still have the cyst. No mention was made of what to do about it. Its about 3/4 of an inch. And interferes with cleaning up down there.

The nurses were upbeat and professional. The facility was clean and orderly. The nurse assistant checked us in well. We waited a little while. We came on a holiday. The staff was still gracious and we of course for them for taking care of us on the holiday. The doctor as well professional and helped a bit more than I expected he would which was nice with our situation and needs and expectations.
