When I was referred to see a dermatologist by my family doctor, I was pleased to see a local Chula Vista provider among the referrals. West Dermatology has a Chula Vista office located in The Plaza at Eastlake. I was able to schedule an appointment within a week to be examined. West Dermatology offers comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services including Mohs micrographic skin surgery. The Plaza commercial building recently underwent a $30M update and remodel. There is plenty of free parking and I found West Dermo's office to be modern and spacious and equipped with all the latest technology. Seen Dr. Schaut twice now, and both times have been efficient and thorough. She’s very friendly, polite and professional. Due to the quickness of the appointments, I would say make sure you bring a list of any concerns or questions so you don’t forget them. Her assistant has also been very on top of it both times I’ve been there. There’s also always been parking available, so that’s good. Entering at the end of the building vs the middle has worked out well for me.

I had an excellent experience at West Dermatology in Chula Vista. From the moment I checked in, the staff was professional, friendly, and efficient. The front desk made the process smooth, and I was seen right on time. The provider took the time to listen, answered all my questions, and explained everything clearly without rushing. I felt genuinely cared for and confident in the treatment plan. The office itself was clean, modern, and very well organized. I loved Dr Williams she knew exactly what I needed I had a great experience. I recommend everybody to go there. There’s no wait they see you right away, and the doctor comes in right away.

Doctor refused to see me(while I was in the room waiting for the doctor to come) if I didn’t pay her 250$. This is literally a joke. The nurse comes back in to tell me “ if you dont pay 250$ she can’t see you “ . Ive been dealing with alopecia since 2022, I’ve been seen by many doctors around the country and never once did this happen to me. Absolutely appalling. I will be contacting insurance to get a refund for my copay since im apparently you just pay to come sit on the doctor’s chair and leave.
