I conveyed to Dr. Wendel that a friend of my lost her eye because she ignored the early warning signs of a detached retina. After reviewing my history and completing my initial exam, Dr. Wendel educated me on symptoms that warrant immediate attention. This was the first time in 60 years of routine eye care that an eye doctor took the time to sit down and explain to me how to prevent common eye problems, including those commonly associated with aging.
