WellNow Urgent Care

Anybody knows that having to go to Urgent Care isn’t fun. I scheduled our daughter because her throat hurt so bad she could hardly eat or drink anything. This came on fairly quickly. We went to the one we normally go to (not a fan) the waiting room was packed and staff were overwhelmed (they always are) the previous 2 experiences at that location ended with us walking out after 4 hours while our pharmacy closed. Yesterday, the staff couldn’t find our appointment, but when I showed her our confirmation, it was with another location, not too far from that one, in North Greenbush! We walked in and were addressed immediately. It was clean, the atmosphere calm and they got us in quickly. Beautiful Jamiya, our nurse, came right in and after gently coaxing our daughter to do the tests she needed

Had a pleasant appointment made on the phone. Reservation was for 6. Walked with one person in the waiting room. The desk was empty 45 mins later asked for help and when we would be able to be seen. This was a check up to get some test done. Long story sort we didnt leave till 8:50. The doc was nice but the place was a bit of a mess. Seems disorganized and short staffed. When I called this morning about results they said that they can't do anything about sending the results because they had the wrong number. The woman I spoke to on the phone was slightly rude and a bit condescending.

Rude staff. Had to wait nearly an hour from my appointment time and then another hour. All after sending a million unnecessary text and email reminders. Finally out 2.5 hours later for less than 10min of face-to-face time with their "providers." (Only positive: the nurse drawing my blood has a flawless stick!)

The staff got me in within a few minutes of my pre-scheduled appointment time. My nurse was kind and efficient with processing my vitals and injury for the Dr. or PA. My PA was experienced with orthopedic injuries, made a thorough and accurate assessment without need for imaging, and prescribed an immobilizing compression boot and crutches, which the nurse returned with momentarily. My PA and nurse recommended two orthopedic specialty groups for follow up with a surgeon and I was on my way. I am very happy with my experience with the WellNow organization.

The staff (with the exception of the receptionist) was friendly, concerned and polite. The nurse practitioner, took her time and was easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! (The 5 star was based on my care AFTER the receptionist. Strong recommendation to get rid of her!)
