I called to inquire about becoming a new patient and didn't receive a call back. I called again the next week and the receptionist picked up. When I asked about if they are accepting new patients, she went on to ask me several questions including: how did you hear about us, and if I had dental insurance. When I finished answering her questions about my insurance (found them because I live in the neighborhood, heard good things) she said "we are only accepting new patients who have family at our clinic". I thought it was really strange that she asked me those questions and then disclosed that I needed to be a family of current established patient. It felt more like she was biased against my insurance (which is good insurance) or was looking for a cash pay. She could have just told me

I was a patient at Wedgwood Dental Center for over a decade and I loved them. The only reason I left was because I moved to a different city, and if I could have gone there for the rest of my life, I would have. They do a wonderful job of accommodating any issues related to anxiety or gag reflexes that patients might have and truly make going to the dentist feel like going to the spa. Thank you so much to Dr. Emily Shackleton and her team for so many years of top quality dental care.

I started going to Dr. Shackelton in 2020 because she is near my daughter's place, and I've continued going there. Dr. Shackelton is an excellent dentist who seems to really care about each of her clients. Her staff is professional and well informed and treat us all with kindness and great skill. I don't dread going, and for me, that's saying a LOT.

What can I say about the dentist - no one really wants to go, but WOW! The service, the professionalism and the friendly staff really erased any nerves I might've had about someone plying through my mouth for an hour plus. Scheduling was easy. The dentist was patient and gentle. They also took time to show and explain any issues I was having with my dental health, while also giving sensible recommendations of how I could improve in my normal hygiene routines. The billing dept was OUTSTANDING - usually I'm feeling lost with all the costs being explained to me, but here ever line item was efficiently and concisely broken down so I could understand what I would be expected to pay and any tentative future work I would need to plan for. 1,000,000 out of 10. Would highly recommend anyone seek

Wow! In today's high-etc medical and dental offices with multiple practitioners, it is, indeed, a joy to have discovered Wedgwood Dental Clinic!! Dr. Emily and ALL the assistants who work with her are so kind, concerned, and caring. And if you are one of those without dental insurance, they are so willing to work with you, with creative ways to keep the costs down. I really appreciate their understanding, and willingness to attend to accommodate my needs!!
