Wedgewood Rehab and Nursing Center

All as I see is people giving this place a low-grade. Well if you want a better place then spend more money. It's like buying a White Castle burger in a box and complaining it's not good... same thing with apartment complexes you see on the news people complaining that the plumbing is leaking this and that well they're also only paying $425 a month. If you don't want your plumbing to leak then pay $1,200 a month ! If you don't have the money for better places you should have saved your money instead of blowing them on vacations,cigarettes and casinos earlier in your life.... next time bring them to the Highlands in Brighton or someplace in Pittsford I guarantee you're going to have a different experience. You'll be able to clean a contact lens off your loved ones Fanny....

Very sad. This could be a good nursing home if the help would show up. The aids don't show up half the time, especially on the weekends. What can you expect, sadly the aids don't have much incentive to show up. To most it's just a paycheck. The aids have a very hard job and in my book are not appreciated. Shame on the owners of these facilities. Also, shame on the families that dump them there and only visit on holidays. These are our seniors that worked hard all their life to bring up their families and then are forgotten because they got old!

If you want your loved one taken care of professionally, stay away from Wedgewood. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. On the weekend, the staff was even worse and the facility was filthy. There was no accountability, not even with the head of the nurses , Cindy. They left my husband laying in bed the whole weekend when he was there, because the staff was too lazy to put him in a wheelchair. After his 3rd day there, he had a seizure, which the nurse argued with me about.She insisted it wasn't a seizure. It was and I called for an ambulance to get him out of there. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HELL HOLE. I reported them to the NYS Attorney General's office.

I was a resident for a short lived period. I obviously did not meet their standards and found myself hoodwinked and when I woke up, I was in Strong's Psychiatric ED without my phone or ay means of contacting a single soul. This was due to erroneous information provided to the EMT's that were called because I had fallen. My friend went to the facility to find out what happened to me and was not admitted and the doors were locked. I have since been given a copy of the case details which outline hour by hour what actually transpired and it is documented that Wedgewood provided incomplete and conflicting information. All of my blood work proved Wedgwood wrong. My interviews with medical professionals proved Wedgewood wrong. I can get very petty here but suffice it to say, I was just not wan

Do not send a loved one here. This place is uncared for and so are the residents. My mother was placed here for 6 days too many before we had an ambulance come take her to emergency. In those 6 days she managed to get pneumonia, Covid and a bed sore. She is a diabetic that was placed here for rehab, yet was given pasta, mashed potatoes and rolls to eat. No nutritional value to her meals. The place is poorly lit and smells like urine. The walls are peeling and the tile floors are filthy. The AC unit is handing out the window with pinewood and tape. Not sure how the state is not involved.
