Washington Square Healthcare

I'd give it a 3.5-3.8...The in house staff has been wonderful & are truly compassionate individuals! As all LTC staff are overworked and underpaid everywhere, they do the very best they can with what they have! The resident rooms could be deep cleaned with some elbow grease more frequently. With that being said, its the rooms with long term residents who tend to hoard food & belongings who need the rooms cleared scrubbed and put back nicely. I rated 3.7 bc of the cleanliness & bc there's "NOT NICE" Staff who clearly hate their jobs!

NEGLECTFUL, ABUSIVE, CRUEL, INEPT TREATMENT OF OUR 98-YEAR-OLD FATHER, AN ARMY VETERAN. My family is still traumatized from what Washington Square Nursing Home did to my father and us. This used to be a decent place with good care, but not anymore. It was sold off several years ago, and everything changed. Not enough help, and too many contract employees, some very bad ones. Many know nothing about the patients they care for and don't bother to read the notes. There are a few on site staff that provide good care, but they are overworked and understaffed. Patients are paying the price. The people that run this place are so cruel and uncaring to both patients and their families. They never answer their phones! Been trying to get ahold of my father for his phone goes to voicemail so I call the nurses station & nobody answers been trying for days now!

The staff is very nice and rooms are comfortable. There is a nice dining room and there are various therapies and activities. It's nothing real fancy but I would send my father there again if needed. I was satisfied with them. Yes, like every other place, they are short-staffed too but my dad got the care he needed. They did the best they could considering my dad was not always cooperative

My Dad was in Washington Square for a short amount of time before he passed away and my family and I wouldn't have had it any other way. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a warm friendly hello followed by a beautifully decorated lobby/sitting area for the residents and their guests. There is so much to see as you walk to the Veteran's Wing where my Dad was staying. The walls are decorated with tributes to all branches of military service, this is a great honor to all the Veterans that are staying there. The entire team made my family and I feel very comfortable during a very difficult time. They were very attentive to my Dad's and our needs. The facility was very clean and well kept. I would recommend Washington Square to anyone that is looking for a "home away for
