Walgreens Pharmacy

Pharmacy closed unexpectedly with out notification that they were going home early. I had a family member be notified that they closed at 2 pm and they didn’t pick up there life sustaining medication. The pharmacy is closed on the weekend also. We were able to have another prescription sent to another store in the area. Take this as lesson that closing early with out communicating that you are closing early before hand is not right and unethical. I hope this pharmacy understands that they are causing harm to others when they come and go as they please. I would not use this pharmacy for life sustaining medication because of how they handle the hours they are open. Shame on the pharmacy

I mean, this is more regarding the pharmacy. Walgreens Pharmacy in Altoona is outstanding. I have never had an issue. Kindness is always on display and I'm always greeted quickly by a smiling face. The store however is clean, yet the staff seems to never stop to ask if you're finding what one may be looking for. Prices are comparable to what Rite Aid's were and there is just zero reasons(s) for them to be so high. I get inflation but this has been forever. Walgreens if your reading this, your stock is struggling to gain momentum bc people plain and simple would rather buy the same exact generic item because you are charging unbelievably ridiculous prices for items with the exact same ingredients as generic products only because of a "brand name." Clean, well maintained facility with a friendly staff. Great selection of medical supplies with shelves fully stocked.

Made an appointment a day in advance for a Covid test. When I get there, I'm told none are in stock, sorry, good bye! No attempt was made on their end to contact me. Thanks for nothing, I guess.

For some reason this is the only Walgreens in the area. I was forced to come here due to my medical insurance. Overall it’s like any other Walgreens which is similar to RiteAid.
