Van Timmeren Family Dentistry

Ive had a great experience for a couple of years but I had 3 deaths in the family and forgot about 2 appointments. 1 of which I forgot was even scheduled. When I called to reschedule the receptionist was very rude and snippy even after I apologized for forgetting. They were going to charge a $100 fee to make future appointments and when I asked for clarification, still thinking I only missed 1 appointment, she acted like I was dumb for not knowing it was 2 appointments. Honestly her treatment lost them 2 patients. I will be taking myself and my daughter elsewhere because no one deserves to be talked to like they are dumb. I was driving almost 40 minutes one way to each appointment. I will not be doing that to be treated like that. When I matched her energy she told me I had an attitude.

I haven’t been here in years after moving away from the Grand Rapids area. I received an email from the office about a week ago telling me there was a credit on my account and a check was mailed to my old address but they had noticed it wasn’t cashed yet. They asked if I had a new address they could mail the check to and I provided my current one. A check came in about a week later! Not only did they mail a check for the amount credited on my account, but they ALSO actively reached out to ensure I would get that check for the credit I was owed. So few businesses would be that honest and proactive. I always had good experiences here as a patient, too, and this level of going above necessitated a positive review. I wish I still lived nearby so I could continue to come here!

I have been with this practice from when it was previously run by Dr. Texer. Dr. Van Timmeren has continued to provide excellent service, and with the new location, has brought it a very modern touch.

Dr. S. Van Timmeren and his staff are excellent! He always explains what he doing and why. He is attuned to the patient. He is patient with my countless questions. Recently, I needed to reschedule my visit because of child care needs. However, the staff encouraged me to bring my 16m old. Namely, Amanda was great. She played with and entertained my son during my visit. The receptionist, and the dental assistants all seems to really enjoy their jobs. They’re engaging and friendly. Also, Dr. Van Timmeren is focused on my health and not just making money( he told my that a replacement crown was not needed, which another dentist insisted on, X-ray supported Dr. V’s advice). Highly recommended!

The Van Timmeran dentists and staff are very gentle, caring, thoughtful, and kind. I have only had good experiences here, and I am someone who generally does not like any dental work done, including cleanings. They are phenomenal!
