Valley Regional Urgent Care

This occurred Late-September, 2025; New information has provided ample reason to write this review. My partner was concerned she could have BV or a yeast infection. Old man doctor insisted he needed to personally swab/examine my partner’s genitalia. When she explained that she would prefer a self-swab, he spent 5 minutes trying to sell her on the idea that he’s “gentle” and “not there to hurt her”, and when she again, growing emotional began providing specific reasoning as to why she had to refuse, he left the room, and she heard a nurse in the hall advocate for her: “Can’t we just do a self-swab?” To which he shouted, claiming there was legal and medical nuance that prevented a self-swab in this situation. Unprofessional front desk experience: receptionist loudly repeated my private conversation for all to hear during walk-in check-in. Felt embarrassed and concerned about privacy. Needs better discretion training.

The nurse was wonderful, but the guy that came in to see me was insulting and superiorist. He explained to me the same thing 7 times acting as if I had not heard the first time, completely disregarded my concerns and told me my request was impossible until my condition progressed. Avoid this place if seeking preventative treatment, they don't prevent, they wait until you've progressed (atleast whatever provider I had). You have to suffer before this guy will treat you. The other urgent cares in the the DH network have been outstanding. I've never had to walk out on a 'doctor' before until the day I visited here.

I guess it was my mistake to go in the first place. However, you will be charged an insane amount of money for a half hour visit just for them to confirm what you have and write a script. Really not worth it.

horrible experience. came in after being told to by another clinic, and the two ladies that i spoke to were the most invalidating i have ever encountered. they continuously said i needed to see my primary, even after i explained that i dont have one and am waiting to get in with one. wont be coming back again.
