Valhalla Animal Hospital

11/06/2025 1:30pm - 5Pm today I spent the the afternoon at the Valhalla Animal Hospital. I have been coming here for over 25 years with different cats. No matter what the services are required, whether rescuing a cat or bringing in a group of kittens, or spaying or neutering, or just routine care, I have never had any issues at this location. A few doctors have come and gone, but the service has always been top notch here — today I had the opportunity to spend the day with Ron, the veterinarian assistant and Dr Steven Yang. He has been nicknamed the cat whisperer. Today I had to bring in my Bella Cat, who is 14 years old and she has some arthritis and some dietary issues and a few bad teeth. I've been going to Valhalla Animal Hospital for many years now. I had a cocker spaniel who passed away at 14 years of age and a beagle who passed away at 16. Since then, I rescued 2 German Shepherds. I brought them both in the day after I adopted them to be checked out, the staff there is so amazing and caring. They helped me understand what one of the rescue dogs went through just by looking at her. Together we nursed her back to health and a year later she is such a happy, healthy, beautiful girl.

I can't say enough great things about the Valhalla Animal Hospital! The staff is incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing the best care for pets. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and reassured that our Ragdoll cats were in the best hands. The veterinarians take the time to explain everything clearly and genuinely care about the well-being of every animal they treat. I genuinely cannot recommend this animal hospital anymore. We took our cats and dogs here for 30 years. They used to be very compassionate and friendly, with knowledgeable staff. However, the practice is now operated by Alliance Animal Health, a private equity-backed veterinary firm, and the old vet has retired. Since then, their prices have gone up, but the quality of care has gone down. A few months ago, my cat suddenly got very sick. I called to asked if I could bring her in any time that day. I called around 9am, and they could not tell me fast enough: NO. They did not even think to ask what my cat’s symptoms were, or even try to help over the phone. Prior to that, I took my other pet in for bloodwork and the inexperienced vet tech treated her like a pincushion, sticking needles into
