I want to point out the names of those who have just gone above and beyond! The Tech: Christian, Nurse :Prakriti, Case Nurse : Monette, the Neurologist: Dr. Gill and the NP Elyse. They have left a lasting impression. Thank you! I am genuinely surprised by the low reviews. My mother has received care at three different hospitals—Reston, MedStar, and UVA—and UVA has been by far the best. From the moment we arrived, every member of the team has demonstrated an extraordinary level of professionalism, compassion, and expertise. The technicians, registered nurses, physicians, and case worker have all been consistently kind, attentive, and highly knowledgeable. First, when we got a room, the nurse of 20 + years blew out two veins trying to put in an IV for fluids. She got another nurse. He was fantastic. I told him about the blood on the sink and wall. He did nothing. I cannot believe how unsanitary this room was. My daughter was given one bag of IV fluids so they could do an ultrasound. After the ultrasound they let her use the restroom. They never told her to get a sample. So after a hour, the nurse came in and asked her to get a urine sample. We explained she can’t. We need another IV fluid bag to make that happen. The ER doc then came in and said they can’t give her another IV bag because of a shortage, and she will need to drink water. Which she has not been able to keep down in a week. Do not go to this facility. Go anywhere else! The front staff in the ER will ignore you and are terrible. The whole ER is a mess, they never do any imaging or tests. Thank GOD I went to another hospital in Manassas and had my needs taken care of. These people do not care about the public at all!!!! I can only imagine the amount of misdiagnosis, neglect and they want to send you a fat bill! Oh, and by the way as a dental hygienist I in my profession have been told to never discuss money with a patient! They have an old white haired lady assuming she is a nurse discussing a bill with me and being extremely smart about it. And I told her, what exactly is your job description here? Because you are bringing me medication but bringing up a bill also? Seems EXTREMELY unprofessional. GO ANYWHERE

I had a very disappointing experience with UVA Health Haymarket. My appointment was canceled twice, each time by the clinic, not by me. No one took responsibility, and I was not offered any real help, alternatives, or guidance on how to proceed. Communication was poor, and I felt completely unsupported as a patient. Canceling appointments repeatedly without providing solutions or clear next steps shows a lack of respect for patients’ time and needs. I expected a much higher level of professionalism and patient care from a healthcare institution like UVA Health. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below expectations. Neslihan Eti

First stay at this hospital and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice everything and everyone was. I felt like I was spending a night in a really good hotel. With room service yet! And I actually looked forward to the next meal. The food was great. Everything considered, I will definitely make this my go to hospital in the future.
