Urgent Care of Kona

Recently moved to the Big Island. Being I did not yet have a primary care physician I used Urgent Care of Kona 3 times for upper respiratory and ear infections. The wait time was always short. I was treated with respect by both the office staff and doctors. Doctors were friendly and thoroughly explained my condition. I do recommend.

I’m incredibly grateful to Dr. Loi and his amazing team at Urgent Care Kona. We stopped in without an appointment asking if we could use their medical scale to weigh my son for boxing as we have a comp approaching. They were so kind and gracious to help us upon arrival. Sherlyn & her co worker — treated us with such warmth and aloha. They didn’t have to go out of their way for us, but they did, and it meant more than they know. It’s rare to find a medical office that leads with both professionalism and genuine kindness. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate care here in Kona. We are truly thankful. 🌺

This was my first time seeking urgent care since my primary care physician recently left the practice. Upon calling the office they scheduled me for an appointment within an hour. I filled out the required forms online which is much easier than pen and paper. The entire staff was attentive, very friendly and professional. Dr. Stroman was very knowledgeable with excellent doctor - patient manner. I highly recommend this clinic!

I highly recommend this urgent care center. Although the front office staff could have been a little more welcoming and attentive ;), the doctors were professional, courteous, empathetic, and very caring. I live on the mainland and urgent care centers are typically staffed with NPs so seeing a doctor was a pleasant surprise. Thank you Dr. Chang-Stroman for your care.

Dr. Chang-Stroman was very compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough with his assessment. Frequently, doctors will start their diagnosis with: " It is most likely this....", and not tell you of their less likely, but still possible, other concerns. Dr. Chang-Strohman did both: told me the most likely, and explained why he also had the "less likely scenario" concerns. AND he sent me for an additional test that can help rule that in or out today, (not wait another week where it could get worse). This would allow for more immediate intensive care, if needed. I tremendously appreciated his thoroughness and good care, and would not hesitate to return to this clinic should I require urgent care in the future.
