Unfortunately I had a terrible experience. It seemed great at first, because he had fast availability and is well decorated with degrees and experience. I was only going in for a routine cleaning, cause Big Island tends to have a 8 month waitlist even for that. I knew I had start of a cavity in one area. Dr.Gaeta said I had more like a dozen. And would do and advanced technique, micro air abrasion, to get most without drilling. Sounded good. I come back for that and instead he says I have a major crack in my back molar (no other dentist thought this btw) and needed to be reconstructed. I honestly didn't understand what was going on before he started, because he has a speech impediment and it happened faster than my comprehension of what was going to be involved. Wonderful experience, Dr. Gaeta is detail oriented and does a thorough work with complete follow up. Thank you for caring about your clients. Driving from Ka'u to Kona, 2 hours is a good investment for a healthy teeth!

Called and they got me in same day for appt and i got tooth Extraction same day appt When I called all over island and the wait was going to be weeks for tooth extraction !!!!!!!!!!!!! the pain was terrible and I couldn't wait weeks !!!! #17 had a Puka ! Super disappointed… ive called, emailed and even went on the website to make an appointment and no answer back. I called on 12-26-25 and have called every few days since. Ive been going to Dr. Gaeta for about 5 years and haven’t heard back since. I broke my temporary crown, ive been in so much pain for 3 weeks and have not heard back a peep, which is unusual for Dr. Gaeta. Unfortunately ill have to wait until I can fly to Oahu to see a dentist, because there is no way im waiting 8 months to see a dentist in Hilo.

My appointment went very well, and it was fairly quick as I was a first time patient and the had to take a whole bunch of x-rays prior to getting my cleaning and exam. Everyone was very pleasant.
