Urgent Care Kirksville - Complete Family Medicine

Took my partner there for throat pain when swallowing, localized on one side. My partner hates doctors and I know she must have been hurting to ask to go to urgent care. Waited an hour to be seen (which is alright, it was late afternoon on a Saturday). The doctor spent 5 minutes with my partner. She said since she 'doesn't have a runny nose,' it's not strep, so it's not worth testing. Did not test for the flu, or COVID, nothing. Said "treat it like a cold" and sent her on her way. An absolute waste of time, money, and energy. Avoid!

My mom needed a steriod shot and her Dr. told her to come here to get the shot. He was affiliated with them and her record was there. We showed up at 12:15pm, they told her to go wait in her car till they were ready for her. We gave them our number and they texted us shortly after we got into the car at 1pm. The text said they would text us when they was ready for us. At 1:46pm they texted "We are ready for you!" We replied "ok". Mom went in and at 3:15pm, I called her and asked if she was almost done yet. I was getting worried. She said she was in the waiting room, still. They had a healthy 70 year old come in with the sick and wait, after they said they were ready for her. She finally came out at 3:45pm. Total time spent at this place for a single steroid shot, 3 1/2 hours! I w

Worst place ever waited about 45 min just to get into a room with a doctor with a child screaming in pain and they are being slow. How do u not hear kids screaming...? Don't bring kids here. Go to the ER.

I remembered why I dislike coming here. (1) Unreasonably long wait both in the waiting room and when you get called back, and (2) I feel like I am going to walk out with a worse condition/disease than what I walked in with. Avoid coming here if you can.

Your Urgent Care experience in Kirksville is going to completely depend on the provider available that day. I have nothing but fantastic things to say about Nurse Practitioner Lily Bruner. She has always been extremely professional, caring, attentive to my medical needs, and overall just one of those providers that does her job very well. Other times I've gone to Urgent Care, I've seen a Nurse Practitioner named Whitney. This NP is a stark comparison to Lily and I have not historically had a great patient experience with her. Her bedside manner is not welcoming and I have never felt like my care was individualized to my needs when I was treated by her.
