Urgent Care - Charles Town

To start they didnt even give me my coverage note for work and would "send it over"; it never made it. Ive also been here multiple time but no longer will go id rather the ER wait then this terrible service for the millionth time. Told me my asthma that hadn't flared up for a long period of time was flared up. Tried to put me on only steroids aswell. (This doctor had an attrocious judgementle attidude as soon as they met me) go to the urgent care down in the plaza and got told I have pneumonia. Got meds and feel better; go to Sean roads clinic they actually care and will treat you. This place is a waste of money.

Nothing like a medical emergency to remind you how efficiently an urgent care can do absolutely nothing. I arrived a whole 15 minutes before closing, which apparently is just enough time to take my copay, but not enough time to actually provide… you know… care. Before I could even finish explaining what was going on, I was informed that most diagnostics were already shut down for the night. Good to know the urgency has a strict bedtime. Still, they very helpfully put me in a room, confirmed they couldn’t help me, and then advised me to go to the ER instead. So to recap: no treatment, no diagnostics, no solutions, but they did manage to collect my copay and bill my insurance with impressive efficiency. Truly remarkable priorities. I can't say enough great things about this facility! I had to go to Urgent Care for an emergency visit for my knee and even with no appointment scheduled, on a Friday, I only waited 40 minutes to be seen. Several X-rays and a brief discussion with the doctor had me there for about an hour and a half total. This Monday morning, I had to visit the Orthopaedic side of the practice. This time I had an appointment scheduled and was back to see the doctor within ten minutes of my scheduled appointment. The staff and doctors here are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I came to your facility in December for an underlying issue. I gave your receptionist my insurance card and checked with her before I left. My insurance had not been approved but she told me if there was an outstanding balance, I’d be billed. Two weeks later, I received a nasty letter from your business that my health insurance had been cancelled and I owed the entire balance to your business. Knowing that my insurance had not been cancelled, I called them anyway and they insured me it was active. After going back and forth with you all and my insurance company, turns out you all entered my insurance incorrectly that flagged it as cancelled. NOT MY PROBLEM! Then I got a notice that I owed a balance. I went back to my insurance company to ensure you all had been paid and not to pay the bill

3/5 for wait time. 5/5 for staff. I made an appointment and still had to wait 2 hours to be seen. A lot of people were sick and they were packed. Understood. But the staff were all excellent. The Front Desk guy was so kind, friendly, and helpful. The radiology technician was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and fun! She made me feel less scared and more comfortable. The doctor was excellent. She heard my symptoms, read over my extensive medical history, and acted quickly and efficiently. She had a great bedside manner, and her skills shined as a physician. Just wish the wait wasn’t so long.
