Upstate Vet Emergency & Specialty Care - Greenville

We have been to Upstate Vet Emergency Veterinary & Specialty Care Hospital twice, and both experiences were excellent. The first time, our dog required emergency surgery for pyometra, and the veterinary team acted quickly and professionally, saving her life. We are forever grateful!!! On our most recent visit, the staff was just as compassionate and attentive. They treated our dog with kindness, kept her calm, and explained everything clearly. You can truly feel how much they care about both the pets and their families. Highly recommend this clinic for emergency care, BEST in Greenville, SC and adyacent areas!!! Upstate Vet Neurology was amazing! Dr R Waldron was beyond awesome!! All the staff were really but especially her. My 11month old Frenchton puppy started having seizures out of the blue. We were referred over by my regular vet and I couldn’t be more pleased. She took the time to explain everything in detail and gave me reassurance. She is kind, knowledgeable and compassionate. Incredible place, incredible doctors and surgeons, but it is not fast at all when you visit so be prepared to be there for a while. I don’t say that negatively at all, just that it was a LONG time before an actual vet saw my pet even though my home vet told me to rush up there - to that end, don’t expect it to be a “quick” visit, but it will be a good one. Care was excellent, after visit instructions were excellent, and the communication post-surgery/in recovery was about a 7/10. I personally would have liked a few more updates (since you can’t see them after the surgery) but the essentials did make their way to me. One note, take a jacket. Their exam rooms are very cool, and I’m a very hot person and was pretty chilly.

Thank you for taking such great care of our Miss Molly after her experience with another dog. I learned something new. Puncture wounds don’t always bleed. She is being treated like a Queen and starting to feel better. Thank you for allowing us to stay out in the car with her until a room was ready. She was much more relaxed and comfortable not being around other dogs in the waiting room. Molly says she loves her reverse Mohawk and thinks she’s really styling. 😊

Dr. Waldron was absolutely AMAZING!!! Not only was she extremely kind, but she was very honest and attentive to my Frenchie's needs, and my concerns! I appreciate her non-invasive approach, and putting my heart at ease, but more so, I appreciate her honesty, should her needs progress. She's absolutely worth the hour drive!! Love Upstate!!
