UPMC Outpatient Center

I really wish I could speak more highly of this hospital, especially since it’s the only one we have right here in Lock Haven. Unfortunately, after multiple visits, I consistently walk away feeling disappointed. ​While I understand it's a small facility, the Emergency Room feels very limited, and I genuinely believe our town deserves an upgrade. My main hesitation in recommending this place, however, is the level of care. I’ve found the staff to be quite dismissive, and I rarely feel like my health issues are being thoroughly evaluated. ​For a quick check-up in a dire emergency, it is okay, but for anything else, I highly recommend the Geisinger Walk-In Clinic instead. You tend to get a much more attentive experience there.

The 2 stars are only for the nurse and x-ray tech! Dr. Xu had a very rude tone and not only caused me more discomfort but was readily willing to dismiss my pain during my x-ray review; the amazing x-ray tech was very kind and able to locate my break immediately after a second look! I suggest you hire medical staff that would provide the same level of care and attention you'd want for a loved one! Thank you, nurse and technician.

I recently visited UPMC Lock Haven for emergency care due to concerning symptoms. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Marcheskie was disappointing. My symptoms included dizziness, blurred vision, lightheadedness, pins and needles, waves of nausea, and a dropping sensation, which I explained in detail. Despite the severity of my symptoms, I felt dismissed and was quickly labeled as anxious without proper testing. I mentioned that I planned to follow up with neurology, as my primary care provider had already sent a referral for that, but Dr. Marcheskie refused to acknowledge the referral and stated that I would need to obtain it through my primary care provider as it would not be something she would provide for me. Additionally, I was subjected to a drug screening without any explanation

Sent me into Cardiorespiratory Arrest in 2016 due to an anesthesiologists mistake. Went back for an ER years later for similar pains, only to find out the last record they’d had on file for me was an address I hadn’t lived in for 24 years. New ownership these days, same crooks.

Everytime I've been Here since this hospital switched hands it's been nothing but a pleasant experience. They address all my concerns run all necessary tests and find the problem and treatment in minimal time. The doctors and nurses are wonderful and I recommend Dr jendi or Dr Muenser (mun-zer) if u need emergency care !
