A friend of mine did her physical there, they did not look into her ears, did not listen to her heart and chest, and did not take her temperature.

Witnessed employee Teresa Ward inappropriately participate in a disgusting dispute on the plane against an Asian American family. Not sure how an employee can represent this public institution. As a UW Alum, I will continue to warn those around me to steer clear of the department she works in. Horrible and absolute embarrassment for this place. Typical Karen attitude.

Horrible experience. Came for orthodontist consultation. So hard to get there with detours and construction. Dentist said he felt I had deferred pain from a recent tooth extraction into the four front teeth I was there to be seen about. They didn’t believe me that the front four teeth caused any pain even though there was overcrowding and growing over each other. Dentist said I did not qualify for orthodontist because my case wasn’t severe enough. They don’t take state insurance, this would have been paid for out of pocket over time. They did nothing. They sent me packing. I got no quote, and they didn’t believe me when I said the four teeth hurt by growing over each other. They told me to go to SeaMar or get a referral from my own dentist. Since so many people have been reading this review I feel like I owe an update. We've continued to visit the Alvord Brain Tumor Center and our visits have been consistent with what we experienced before. Our doctors continue to be great, but there is a huge communication issue. There are minor issues like waiting for a very long time to get through the call system, or your messages not getting returned. The big issue that we struggle with is that prescriptions often don't make it to the Pharmacy (we've experienced a roughly 40% failure rate). To make matters worse, the prescriptions they mess up are anti-seizure medications which need to be taken twice daily and missing a dose or two causes seizures, a trip to the ER and months of recovery time. They did a great job on my husbands teeth. Everyone is very nice and they explain everything thoroughly. Just be ready to wait. They are a teaching school so students are learning on you. The students are in their final year I think.
