UNC Hospitals Hillsborough Campus

I love UNC Hillsborough campus for their emergency room. They're always professional and usually have a fast turnover rate and get you seen quickly. They are always good to me there and take caution since I have leukemia. I also love the UNC Hillsborough campus doctors/specialist that I see in cardiology and bariatric surgery. The blood drawing lab is always a pleasure as well. The phlebotomists there are always sweet and polite and a pleasure to deal with. I've never have a complaint there that I can think of.

I had an excellent experience at UNC Hillsborough. From the moment I arrived, the staff was kind, attentive, and professional. The hospital is clean, well-organized, and feels much more peaceful than larger medical centers. It’s a smaller campus, which makes it easier to navigate — less overwhelming, especially for outpatient visits or short-term care. The nursing staff was particularly outstanding — compassionate, responsive, and always took the time to explain things clearly. The physicians were knowledgeable and patient-focused, and I never felt rushed during appointments or check-ins. Lab and imaging services were efficient, and wait times were minimal. I had to be admitted In the hospitial at UNC Hillsboro NC, the staff was, and is the most professional and kind I have ever had the opportunity to be acquainted with. If you ever are sick and have to go the hospital, you would be so fortunate to go to UNC Hillsboro. I give them 5 stars. I would give them 10 stars if that was an option.

I was denied my neurologist prescribed sleep meds for 3 days by Dr. James Rogers, the chief resident. I got an average of of 4.3 hrs bc Rogers thinks he knows better than my specialist. I needed a referral to a rehab but Rogers would not allow me my meds. I was given a useless med for a UTI. I checked out w bed sores, Uti, no contact from social worker for OT/PT/ Referral. The social worker would not inform me of any info. I had to check out despite my bad MS bc of Rogers. I needed 8 sleep and I had to check out to get it.

Friendly staff, easy to locate and find. As for the services not so good. Husband transferred here from UNC Clayton to have surgery on Saturday early afternoon. No surgery yet and saying possibly on Tuesday, guess they are waiting for it to burst (IDK). Just another money hungry hospital taking advantage of insurance company. This man has been at a UNC facility since Friday afternoon being told life threatening but yet still not doing surgery. Latest update they will transport him to UNC Chapel Hill do surgery then take him back to Hillsbough, now that is 3 UNC hospitals since Friday. This hospital is a joke. I do not recommend. Update: husband still there day 8 for a gallbladder and 2 surgeries later, still not home. Do not recommend this place.
